Pics from Will's Vacation

Must all golfers have the wildest outfits!? I love the tops and shorts William came home with. But strips and plaids . . .

William had a great time golfing and came home with golf shoes. He is signed up to take a monthlong golfing workshop. I've been given a set of golf clubs - the director and deputy director are serious about getting me back out on the course. Hopefully it is like riding a bike (note, I didn't say like riding a scooter - ha ha) and it will all come back to me!

Here is a great picture of the cousins! Looks like Will has grown just a hair taller than Janelle - wait, maybe it is Ben's rabbit ears that are giving Will the advantage! Where did time go - they have all grown up so much.

The World is in Astoria 6.19.09

The World came to the Port of Astoria today. I've been waiting
nearly a year for this port of call so that I could see the massive moving community. I can only imagine what it must be like to live aboard this vessel and circumnavigate the world! Check out the web site. Just one year's worth of Port of Calls is fascinating. We probably will not see this ship again for at least another 5 years (if we are lucky to have them call on our Port again!).

In typical Astoria style, we rolled out the overcast and misty weather! It has been nice all week but this morning we woke to rain and have had it most of the day. The winds kicked up around 5pm.

And in the wandering fashion . . . William is home tonight. It has been a day for Bill, he started out at the Doctor's office at 8:30 getting his legged checked. He still has an underlying infection going on which created swelling and a pocket of less than pleasant stuff. He has had this area lanced and is on - you guessed it - another round of antibiotics! The doctor is not concerned. I, of course am a bit freaked (yes, I know I am a worry wart and have been told so by at least 3 people this week) but . . .
Bill returns to the doctor on Monday for follow-up, we will be monitoring this closely to make sure things continue in the positive direction.

William has pictures to show us. He bought a new camera and when he turned it on to show his dad, the lens wouldn't open. He is very upset as this was a big investment for him. We will try and resolve this tomorrow. I'll post some of his stuff tomorrow morning.!

For tonight, enjoy the pictures of the World.

William's travels

William is on his last day of trip today... he comes home tomorrow. Here are a few additional pictures of the Minnesota trip and coming home Sioux City Falls.

I guess he liked bass fishing - the grin gives it away!

Bemidji Trip

Here is a picture of William with his first Pike. He can now add Bass, Sunfish and Pike to Sturgeon and Salmon fishing! All have enjoyed the Bemidji trip! Uncle Tim and Cousin Ben are showing Will a great time and all are headed back to Albuquerque.

July! It will be scootin time

Yes, I will finally take the Team Oregon class to get comfortable riding my scooter. Not to worry, Bill has put a couple hundred miles on it. It really has been a handy item for getting around. I can't wait until I feel more confident riding it. Who knew it would be that hard of a transition for me!

William leaves for vacation Saturday. Been a tough week making him hunker down and get the final stuff turned in. Edline gives me fits because the grades bounce around so much. I'm never quite sure what has been turned in and what hasn't. William will be meeting up with Uncle Tim and Ben in Denver, CO and off they go. He returns on the 19th and will have Youth Symphony starting the next week and then golf starting in August! As always, his schedule fills up quickly!

Bill's leg is mending - he is back up and moving and about 3/4 speed. His leg swells by the end of the day and then he has to get off it. Doctor has deemed him "much better" and his leg should be looking better by this time next month (still have discoloration in back and front of leg). At least the big bump in the shin is gone and the redness has gone away.

I have been busy running here and there - looking forward to catchin up on some things in the upcoming months. We will see if that happens!
