You've Come a Long Way, Baby!
Well, it has been 23 days since the initial cut to the shin, 17 days since the initial visit to urgent care, and 8 days since release from hospital. The last posted picture was 7 days ago and you can see a very marked improvement in Bill's leg. He has been very good about staying down and keeping his leg up!
This is the front view and the three marks in the center were the cause of it all - that is the cuts from the motorcycle.
Side view, you can see the swelling on the chin which is still about a 4 inch circle.
This is the back of Bill's leg. Much better! Overall, the leg is still a little swollen but nothing like it was previously.

Eeewwwww!
Although this looks bad - it really is much better than it was a week ago. Bill came home after 6 days in the hospital, Friday night. This is a form of streptacaccus (hemo something - meaning blood) Haven't been able to find the exact diagnosis information on the internet yet but I'm just glad it is healing. The initial infection was through 3 small scrapes on his shin, the worst part is what you can see in the photo. You can see the pen marks on his leg where the infection expanded each time we went to urgent care. So almost 2 weeks later, this is what Bill is dealing with. Yech! We are still gloving up to do wound care. Bill has two more weeks in bed with his leg up, no driving and no stairs! He is really looking forward to it - NOT.
Hope everyone had a great Easter and is happy and healthy!

District Wrestling
We went to St Helens on Valentine's Day to watch the District Wrestling. Long day but it was fun. I remember watching a lot of wrestling in Wyoming, so it brought back fond memories.
William took 3rd in his weight class. He had two very good pins (one he needed as he was behind in points!). Very good showing this being his first year. He is a little sore and bruised today but none the worse for wear. Back to snowboarding next week.
