The Burke's Upgrade

Here is the new RV mom and dad purchased! Much more room, 3 slide outs! Everyone, including Coco, is much happier now that they can stretch out a bit!
Look at that space!

They moved in on February 16th!

Wow - He's really a teenager

This photo (taken by Bill - because Will doesn't hold still for me to take a photo!) really made me realize - he is a teenager. He's growing up so fast!

District Wrestling

We went to St Helens on Valentine's Day to watch the District Wrestling. Long day but it was fun. I remember watching a lot of wrestling in Wyoming, so it brought back fond memories.

William took 3rd in his weight class. He had two very good pins (one he needed as he was behind in points!). Very good showing this being his first year. He is a little sore and bruised today but none the worse for wear. Back to snowboarding next week.

Mt Hood - Finally

A friend of William posted some pics of yesterday's snowboarding on You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsQUzQiH75I hopefully this gets you to that post.

Will came home with a hairline fracture in his left wrist. So, don't know exactly what that entails yet. Will have to get him to the doctor this week. He was able to bring home his e-rays on disk which is pretty cool. (I'll figure out how to post them eventually!).

He is feeling fine but has his arm wrapped around a board to keep his wrist immobile. Probably won't bode well for wrestling though.

And, it snowed and it rained and it snowed . . .

We have had about 2 weeks straight of mostly snow. But we have had freezing rain and more snow and now rain again. The chains finally came off the car last night (although I needed them in the morning to get off the hill!
I was finally able to thaw the car out on Christmas day. The ice was incredible! I was able to remove the ice and couple inches of snow and then we received another 5 inches of very wet and heavy snow.
When the snow started to melt it was so heavy, as it slid off the hood of the car, it set the car alarm off! The new car doesn't like it when the emblem is moved, the other car didn't care. I don't know if that is an upgrade feature the newer caddy has that the blue one didn't have or if the blue one isn't connected. Something to figure out before we sell the blue one off.

Bill made it home, finally, last night around 10:30pm. About a week late but no worse for the wear. He spent a nice Christmas with the Mohlers and the Woods. Evidently he has shopped and been to more malls in the last week than in the prior year. I think the rest and relax was good for him! William is very happy to have his dad home as are Hy and Paul. We may have to pry Paul's feet from Bill's shoulder to get him to bed tonight!

Hope your holiday was nice and bright and fun!
