Harvest Moon over Astoria

More practice last night with the camera - results far exceeded my expectations. All prior moon shots were a blur of glowing light - This has a certain serenity to it.

Hi Susan! I just wanted to say that I love the photos on your blog! The one of the seals is amazing!

WHAT? You live in Astoria, Oregon? Nooo wayyy, so do I! What are the chances of that? I can't believe it! Love your pic of the harvest moon and I'm so jealous because I haven't gotten a pic of it yet. This is so cool! Wish we would have known this at the beginning of the Oh Shoot class.

(I'm deje34, but my name is Debra and my nickname is DJ)

I replied to your comment on my blog and I'm pasting it here so you will be sure to see it...

Susan, Candice is awesome isn't she? I am learning tons also and I can't wait to learn more. I've been trying to get pics of the moon since last christmas when I got my camera and some are ok, but not great and others are just bright blobs. I LOVE YOUR HARVEST MOON PIC OVER ASTORIA...IT IS AWESOME!!!

We really should get together and compare notes and maybe we can learn from one another. I have a Canon Rebel XSi...I don't know how that compares to your XT, but I'm sure the settings are pretty much the same.

Are you going to take the Portrait Photography Class at the end of this month?
